SpectraCal is now accepting preorders for the CalMAN Enhanced Spyder3 Colorimeter, shipping in early July
The Spyder3 tri-stimulus colorimeter features 7 sensors, giving you a more complete calibration measurement than standard colorimeters, which only use 4 sensors. Standard tri-stimulus colorimeters use 3 sensors to measure red, blue, and green (RGB) and 1 sensor to measure pulse. The Spyder3 also has 1 pulse sensor, but has two sensors for each color (RGB), which more effectively measures the range of each color for a more accurate calibration.
Why has SpectraCal never offered the Spyder3 before now?
The answer is that Spyder3’s have lacked factory calibration and the ability to store calibration information into an onboard memory. CalMAN has the ability to store calibration adjustments on behalf of the device being used in a session. SpectraCal is enhancing each Spyder3 by hand calibrating in our labs and storing the control files in a custom folder that will ship and install with the meter. The result is an extremely accurate device that is highly competitive with much more expensive, NIST Certified tri-stimulus colorimeters.
SpectraCal is excited about this new project and we want everyone to know about it - our existing family of users, as well as potential new customers, by offering a pre-sale special for all pre-orders.
