Orb Optronix SP-100 Reference Spectrophotometer |

The Orb Optronix SP-100 is a fully NIST traceable spectroradiometer. It is impossible to purchase a device that will give you more accuracy.
Laser Targeted
An internal target spot laser projects a circular image onto the display, showing the exact region that will be measured, and removing the inconvenience of a viewfinder.
The SP-100 uses a highly accurate through-optics laser pointer to show you exactly what the meter is seeing, be it near or far |
 |
Narrow Field of View
The SP-100 has 1.8 degree field of view, using precision optics. So it can be used from across the room at the ideal seating position.
Mechanical Shutter
The SP-100 has a built-in mechanical shutter, just like meters from Konica Minolta and Photo Research. Without a built-in shutter, the sensors would always be subject to light, and by the nature of how they work would drift by some amount depending on what the light level is from the heat generated by the light. With a shutter system, the sensor is only exposed to light during the reading.
Dark Offset
How the SP-100, Konica Minolta and Photo Research work is that they open the shutter to expose the sensor until 70-90% saturation is reached then close the shutter and take a second reading for the same integration time. They then subtract the black reading from the light reading and the difference is the reading output. Using this method will take into account sensor temperature drift by subtracting it out.

Interchangeable Heads
The SP-100 uses interchangeable head attachments to allow measurement of spectral radiance and irradiance
